From conception, to development, to series production
DATA MODUL AG’s headquarters are in Munich. At the Deggendorf, Munich and Weikersheim sites, development teams work constantly on customer-oriented optimisations in components, sub-systems, complete solutions and software solutions developed by us.
In Weikersheim the production is realised by highly specialised machines, developed in part for one of DATA MODUL’s core competences: Optical Bonding. Only at DATA MODUL are five bonding procedures offered in-house. Depending on the application, customers can choose the appropriate display processing, assembly, finishing and optimisation of display, touch screen and cover glass of any size. Alongside assembly and logistics, cable packaging, prefabrication, prototype and sample building all take place in Weikersheim. Our own development departments at the sites stand for the product pallet’s forward-looking focus. In addition to distribution, development of our own products, customer-specific OEM solutions and value-added services are promoted in particular.

DATA MODUL offers complete expert support: This includes, among other things, consulting, design-in-support and project management. From sample and prototype development, to series production, to customer-specific service agreements and logistics concepts, DATA MODUL offers everything from the same source. The portfolio is rounded off with our own software development, constructional, mechanical and thermo-management concepts, EMC preliminary inspections as well as certifications and obsolescence management.
Certifications for medical applications
DATA MODUL is certified in all QM fields relevant to development and production pursuant to ISO 9001 and 14001. In order to satisfy the requirements of the medical industry, DATA MODUL also fulfils the requirements of ISO 13485-2016. Regular audits by, for instance, TÜV and UL also guarantee excellent product quality and therefore the required safety for operating personnel, doctors and, not least, the patients.
Usability in focus
Individual, safe and user-friendly operation of the equipment is guaranteed with the controller series eMotions or the embedded solutions on ARM or the x86 platform or our own (PCAP) solution easyTOUCH developed by us. Important functions for the medical industry are covered via easyTOUCH: Among other things, operation with more than one finger and with gloves, as well as easy cleaning of surfaces – all essential for sensitive environments like laboratories, operating rooms and in intensive care.
