StimCardio Medical has completed an oversubscribed $30m Series A funding round to advance its non-invasive wearable, Rhyvive, for atrial fibrillation (AF).
The investment round was led by Metis Medtech, alongside Catalyst Health Ventures, several corporate strategic investors, and other new and existing backers.
StimCardio plans to allocate the capital towards its upcoming multi-centre pivotal clinical trial, NeuroPulse 2.
Funds will also support preparations for a De Novo classification request to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The planned pivotal trial will assess whether delivering wearable neuromodulation alongside catheter ablation enhances clinical outcomes compared with catheter ablation by itself.
StimCardio’s Rhyvive investigational device is a wrist-worn closed-loop therapeutic system combining physiological sensing with non-invasive median nerve stimulation (MNS).
Designed as an adjunctive therapy following catheter ablation, the system targets autonomic nervous system pathways to lower recurrences of atrial arrhythmias such as AF within a home setting.
The funding round follows results from the NeuroPulse 1 pilot study, which appeared in Heart Rhythm and was presented as a late-breaking clinical trial at HRX Live 2026.
The randomised, double-blind, sham-controlled investigation showed a statistically significant reduction in post-ablation recurrent atrial arrhythmia episodes among individuals receiving active MNS compared with a sham control.
StimCardio Medical CEO Amir Soltanianzadeh said: “Our vision is to establish non-invasive neuromodulation as a new therapeutic category in cardiac electrophysiology.
“This financing brings together investors with deep expertise in cardiac device innovation and provides the resources to deliver a first-of-its-kind, multicentre pivotal study.
“With encouraging clinical evidence to date and a growing research programme, we see an opportunity to extend treatment beyond the procedure room and improve outcomes for the millions of people living with AF.”
Lead investor Metis Medtech is an investment and advisory firm founded by CEO John Slump, who has previously completed four medical device exits, including Atraverse Medical and Farapulse in cardiac electrophysiology, totalling over $1.25bn in aggregate transaction value.
StimCardio intends to extend its wearable neuromodulation technology to additional cardiovascular and AF indications in the future.
