Health and wellness platform Hims & Hers Health has signed a definitive agreement to purchase US-based YourBio Health, which provides capillary blood sampling technology.
YourBio Health’s technologies are focused on making blood collection simpler and flexible, including options outside of traditional healthcare settings.
The company’s TAP device, which operates on the HALO technology, utilises thin, bladeless microneedles to collect blood samples in a matter of seconds.

This method is designed to avoid the pain and complexity associated with standard blood draws such as venipuncture or fingersticks.
The TAP device and its underlying technology are said to be covered by a range of patents related to microtechnology, device integration and sample handling.
The acquisition merges the wellness platform of Hims & Hers with YourBio’s virtually painless micro-needle technology, transforming how blood sampling is performed in the future.
YourBio Health CEO Paul Owen and chief scientific officer Dr Michael Mina will join the Hims & Hers Health team.
Dr Mina said: “YourBio’s HALO and TAP technologies are ushering in some of the most significant scientific advancements in the blood collection space in decades.
“By using micro-needles thinner than an eyelash, these systems produce high-quality blood samples with essentially no discomfort. This technology has the potential to change how people engage with routine blood collection – replacing long waits and painful needles with a far more convenient, user-friendly experience.”
The purchase amount will entirely consist of cash from Hims & Hers Health’s existing funds, and the transaction closure is anticipated in early 2026, contingent on regulatory clearances and other customary conditions.
