US-based preventative healthcare company Doktorconnect has acquired VitalFlo, a platform specialising in proactive respiratory care, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition aims to widen Doktorconnect’s health monitoring capabilities by integrating data-driven respiratory care solutions.

The move is set to enhance Doktorconnect’s existing suite of preventive services, which already includes cardiovascular, metabolic, endocrine, and musculoskeletal health support.

VitalFlo’s platform provides tools for in-office spirometry, remote patient monitoring, and clinical decision support.

The tools empower healthcare providers to proactively manage conditions such as asthma and COPD.

By incorporating VitalFlo’s technology, Doktorconnect will expand its offerings to include comprehensive respiratory health services.

Also, the integration will help Doktorconnect advance its goal of transforming healthcare from a sick care model to a preventative care focus.

Doktorconnect CEO Joseph Olowe said: “The acquisition of VitalFlo aligns with our mission to empower healthcare providers with comprehensive and cutting-edge tools that improve patient outcomes.

“VitalFlo’s expertise in respiratory care complements our existing services. Together, we can offer a more holistic approach to patient health.”

VitalFlo founder Luke Marshall said: “Joining forces with Doktorconnect presents an exciting opportunity to scale our impact. Our shared vision of leveraging technology to enhance patient care makes this partnership a natural fit.”

Based in El Paso, Texas, Doktorconnect offers holistic preventive and wellness technology, featuring FDA and CE-certified IoT devices, to provide customised health solutions.

Founded in 2017 in Raleigh, NC, VitalFlo specialises in proactive respiratory care, enabling providers to deliver top-tier respiratory care from in-office testing to remote monitoring.

The company has played a significant role in advancing pulmonary care by connecting patients and providers through its digital platform.

Its solutions are used by medical groups, hospitals, and accountable care organisations to test, monitor, and track pulmonary patients across various care settings.

VitalFlo is expected to start integrating its digital platform into Doktorconnect’s services in the coming months.

The integration will focus on ensuring a smooth transition for existing clients and patients, maintaining continuity of care while introducing the new respiratory services.
