Canon Medical Systems USA has announced the US launch of its new hybrid imaging system, Adora DRFi, to enhance radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging.
The US launch of the hybrid imaging system follows the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) approval, granted in December last year.
Adora DRFi offers healthcare providers a single solution for both static and dynamic radiography with low-dose fluoroscopy, to enhance efficiency and equipment utilisation.
The system features a rotating ceiling unit with independently moving X-ray tube and detector arms, facilitating exposures from virtually any angle.
It comes with advanced PositionAnywhere technology, which adjusts to the patient’s position rather than requiring patient movement.
Also, it features the new CXDI-RF Wireless B1 Detector that can be docked for fluoroscopy and digital radiography exams or used wirelessly for imaging throughout the exam room.
Adora DRFi’s durable carbon fibre patient table offers a high load capacity, a floating tabletop, and up to 340° rotation, enabling easy access and flexibility.
Its fully automated movements, along with intuitive workflow options, such as inMotion auto-positioning technology, enable fast and intelligent operation, reducing physical strain on staff.
Canon Medical Systems USA chief sales and marketing officer Satrajit Misra said: “Adora DRFi is a testament to Canon Medical’s dedication to delivering innovative solutions that prioritise both clinical excellence and patient care.
“This system combines versatility, efficiency, and advanced imaging technology in a way that redefines what’s possible in a hybrid radiography and fluoroscopy system.
“We are excited to bring this innovative product to the U.S. market and help healthcare providers meet the growing demands of modern radiology.”
Adora DRFi allows healthcare providers to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic exams in a single room, to meet the diverse needs of modern radiology departments.
It optimises space, reduces patient movement, and improves overall workflow efficiency.
Its ceiling unit’s design supports horizontal projections and complex procedures, such as axial hip imaging, without the need to reposition the patient.
Adora DRFi also comes with optional features such as an integrated patient hoist, inControl console, and remote operation capabilities, said Canon Medical.
Canon Medical Systems USA x-ray business unit managing director Charles Cassudakis said: “The Adora DRFi is a game-changer for radiology departments, offering unmatched versatility and precision.
“Every detail of this system was developed with the user in mind, from the ergonomic design to the cutting-edge imaging capabilities.
“This is more than just an imaging system: it’s a tool that will transform how healthcare providers approach radiography and fluoroscopy, enabling better care and patient outcomes.”
