In order to gather the operating room nurses (IBODE) and ensure their training, UNAIBODE has set up the National Days of Study and Development of UNAIBODE (JNEP). These days allow them to meet, exchange, deepen or learn surgical techniques, to be aware of profession news.
During the May 2014 edition, which was held in Dijon, Selenium Medical met around 200 IBODE and surgeons. Through this meeting, the objectives for Selenium Medical were to introduce at the IBODE the SoTube® pioneer packaging and its various configurations.
After the exhibition, IBODE confessed a preference for the SoSafe® configuration. As for the NoTouch® configuration, it was considered an "ideal method" for its sterility assurance.
SoTube/SoSafe got a score of 9.2 out of 10 based on a survey of 160 people at the UNAIBODE 2014 exhibition on criteria such as ease of opening or speed transferring. The results reinforce the desire of Selenium Medical to provide innovative sterile packaging in operating room.
The patended packaging SoTube/SoSafe, CE marked and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), offer an innovative solution for aseptic and secure transfer of medical devices in the operating room. Two plastic tubes of a biocompatible material, phthalate or latex free, are nested one inside the other, providing for the first time a 100% no touch application. Real alternative to the traditional pouches and blisters, this concept of dual tube is less bulky than traditional packaging and provides a unique visibility of the implant thanks to its transparent material.
