At the ATX West trade show (US) in Anaheim, CA, Mikron Automation impressed a professional audience with a demonstration of the G05™ assembly platform with new fully integrated features and technologies. Numerous visitors had the chance to experience this world-first close up, and see its flexibility and efficiency for themselves.

The highlight of Mikron Automation's appearance at this year's ATX West trade show (US) in Anaheim, CA was a demonstration of the G05TM assembly platform with three key innovations: a fully programmable pallet positioning and motion control system based on the Rockwell Automation® MagneMotion® solution, a 4-axis Gantry robot and a servo-driven pick & place module. These innovations coupled with the robust and proven attributes of the G05TM platform will provide a highly flexible and scalable set of configuration tools for solving the toughest assembly applications. "The interest in our latest technologies surpassed our expectations", Mike Gunner, general manager of Mikron Corporation Denver, concluded after the show.

Scalable and flexible solution

A key element of the Mikron assembly platforms success is that standard G05™ building blocks can be easily and efficiently configured to support a large variety of assembly applications. The current cam-driven features of the G05TM still available, but further enhanced by the addition of these servo-driven technologies, enabling maximum scalability and flexibility. The technologies presented at the show will become part of the standard building blocks that the Mikron engineering team can use when providing best-value solutions to their customer base. "The high level of interest from visitors shows that we are meeting the needs of many customers for integrated features and technologies", said Mike Gunner.

Collaboration with Rockwell Automation

The combined resources of Mikron and Rockwell Automation facilitate the great success of the G05TM system on display at the ATX West show. "We thank Rockwell Automation for their support and look forward to further collaboration as we collectively work to meet the automation needs of the industries we serve", says Mike Gunner, general manager, Mikron Corporation Denver.
