Brushless DC motors

Venetian blind drives

Dunkermotoren's venetian blind drives are notable for rugged design and are maintenance free during lifetime. Versions of venetian blind drives are equipped with SMI-Technology.

Gearboxes

Dunkermotoren develops and produces transmissions that are characterised by their smoothness, compact design and excellent efficiency. The product range includes planetary worm gears and the brand new SpiroTec gear, an angular gear with spiral-toothed wheelset made of hardened steel.

Worm gearboxes (SG) are noted for their very quiet running. The worm-gear shaft has bearings on both sides. The gear components, made of bronze or steel, and the lubrication ensure a long service life at the rated torque. In many applications, the right angle (outputshaft 90° to motor) is the optimum design solution. On request, wormgearboxes can be supplied with a hollow output shaft.

Planetary gearboxes (PLG) have the highest continuous torque capacity of all types of gearbox; at the same time they have a very compact design, low weight and excellent efficiency. In our planetary gearboxes is a variety of different materials depending on customer requirements and they are available with the continuous torque up to 160Nm, and many ratios from 4:1 to 710.5:1. Plastic or metal ring gears are available and form the housing of the gearbox. The planet gears are made of plastic, steel or steel sintered; straight or helical geared versions are available and the self-centering planet gears ensure a symmetrical power distribution.

The output shaft is made of steel and supported by double bearing so that it withstands high axial and radial loads. Ball bearings are used. For extreme loads special versions with welded shafts are also available. Our H(hybrid) planetary gearboxes are for especially quiet running, the planet gear of the first reduction being plastic and helical geared. In the PLG 60, the planet gears are of the second stage, and are also plastic and helical geared.

The gearboxes are customised e.g. for use in especially low ambient temperatures, or as high-power gearboxes with reinforced output shafts, or with special lubricants for very long service life. Please consider that an angular offset of up to ±7° is possible when the motor connector is placed towards the mounting holes of the gear box.

The new Spirotec gear (STG) is an angular gear with a spiral-toothed wheel-set that steadily generates high torques with a small centre distance in limited space. Both toothed parts are made of hardened steel so the gearbox works without wear; the lubrication remains free of contamination, helping preserve the sealing rings of the motor and output shafts. The resulting extremely long service life makes the SpiroTec highly suitable for combination with a BLDC motor for maintenance-free operation. The monoblock housing design ensures a particularly high meshing precision and an improved rigidity of the drive unit. The smooth running of the STG, which is ensured by the mathematically precise rolling motion is particularly noteworthy. Available with ratios of 5, 10 and 25:1, the STG 65 version comes with either a solid shaft with feather key or hollow shaft with keyway.

Control electronics and gateways

Dunkermotoren offer motors and gearboxes as well as control electronics and gateways. These include electronics for speed control and positioning to integrated PLC functions. Fieldbus and Ethernet-based communication interfaces are integrated in the drive.

Linear systems

Linear motors from Dunkermotoren offer highly dynamic motion and precise repeatability, with or without external encoder feedback. Available as actuators, components or easy-to-use modules with forces up to 1860N.

Hygienic ServoTube

With smooth surfaces and a IP69K high-pressure wash-down rating, Hygienic ServoTube is ideal for material handling applications in the packaging, food and beverage, and Pharmaceutical industries. Hygienic ServoTube features a standard incremental encoder output and digital halls. The encoder delivers 10 micron resolution with 25 micron repeatability. The drive power interface is three-phase and can operate at 600V. Control of Hygienic ServoTube is possible with a wide range of standard amplifiers.
