In 2019, MedtecLIVE was a big hit with exhibitors, industry associations and visitors. The exhibition for the manufacture of medical technology welcomed visitors from 50 different countries who networked with the more than 400 exhibitors from 30 nations. At the renowned MedTech Summit Congress and Partnering event that accompanies the exhibition, manufacturers, end users and researchers hold interdisciplinary discussions on the future developments in the sector.
"Many of the exhibiting companies from MedtecLIVE 2019 have expressed a strong interest in taking part again in 2020. The industry is very much behind this top-class event," says Alexander Stein, director of MedtecLIVE.
'Connecting the Medical Technology Supply Chain' is the theme of the second round of MedtecLIVE 2020, which presents the entire supply chain for the sector.
It's where representatives from the development and procurement fields, regulatory bodies, sales, marketing, and research and development departments come to talk shop and make direct contact with decision-makers from renowned companies. High-calibre technical presentations at the MedTech Summit congress, but also in the exhibition forums, facilitate in-depth knowledge transfer and provide valuable insights into technology and marketspecific issues.
Already it is becoming obvious that digitalisation will continue to play a key role at MedtecLIVE 2020. In particular, smart manufacturing and AI are issues that will be of great interest to the exhibitors and participants in the Medtech event. The discussions will also look at the soon to be implemented EU medical device regulation.
Dr Matthias Schier, managing director of Forum MedTech Pharma, and responsible for the MedTech Summit at Bayern Innovativ, explains, "We see it as our job to get innovations to end users more quickly. If researchers, engineers, market experts, and medical practitioners can sit down together and discuss requirements and solutions in person, this is a big step forward for the sector. And that's exactly what open access to the congress right in the exhibition halls helps to do."
The matchmaking event Partnering is once again part of the event and is also open for all participants in the exhibition.
MedtecLIVE in combination with MedTech Summit Congress and Partnering is a leading networking platform for the international medical technology community. The trade exhibition's offering covers the full process chain in the production of medical engineering equipment, from prototypes to readyfor- market products. Leading companies, associations and institutions will engage in networking at MedtecLIVE to cultivate contacts, share ideas and create innovations. This event is organised by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and realised by Bayern Innovativ. The industry network Forum MedTech Pharma is the institutional sponsor of MedtecLIVE and MedTech Summit.
